Client: International agrifood producer
Sector: Food – Agrifood
Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands

At its Botlek site, a major agrifood producer significantly increased filtration capacity at the loading area to support growing production and throughput. Leemberg Pijpleidingen & Apparatenbouw BV was awarded the full installation scope: from detailed engineering, supports and filter housing to prefabrication, installation and commissioning of around 500 metres of 5” 304 stainless steel pipework.
Due to a production increase, filtration capacity at the loading area needed a major boost – without causing unnecessary disruption to the existing plant. This meant integrating a new filter housing, additional pipework and supporting steel structures into a live loading environment.
The client was looking for a single partner to take over the complete job: engineering and material supply through to prefabrication, installation and commissioning of roughly 500 metres of 5” 304 stainless steel piping, delivered as one coordinated project.
Leemberg designed, supplied, prefabricated, installed, tested and commissioned the new filtration installation as a turnkey package – including the filter housing, supports, steel structures and approximately 500 metres of 5” 304 stainless steel pipework.
Filtration capacity at the Botlek loading area has been significantly increased, with all work executed in a controlled way and within the agreed scope. The plant now has a future-proof filtration solution that efficiently supports higher volumes and loading capacity.
