On board a large offshore heavy lift & pipelay vessel, multiple auxiliary systems had to be modified as part of a DP upgrade. Existing pipework needed to be removed and rebuilt “right first time” in an already crowded engine room, with several systems under modification in parallel and all work under class supervision.
The yard was looking for a partner that could turn 3D scans into smart routing, organise prefabrication and deliver the complete piping scope without noise: from design to class-approved handover.
Leemberg took over the entire piping chain: from 3D scanning and detail engineering through to supply, prefabrication, installation, NDE, flushing, cleaning and class testing.
All auxiliary systems were modified in line with class requirements and delivered within the agreed schedule. One point of contact, one integrated package – and a DP installation that makes the vessel fully deployable again.
