A leading player in the soft drinks market continuously invests in renovation, upgrade and conversion projects to make production more efficient and reliable. Because Leemberg already knew the existing installations and plant layout in detail, several sub-projects were bundled with one partner. Leemberg Pijpleidingen & Apparatenbouw BV was responsible for the design, supply and installation of steel structures and for the installation of sanitary stainless steel and carbon steel piping.
All work had to be carried out in a running beverage plant, where production downtime had to be kept to an absolute minimum.
For Leemberg, this meant designing, supplying and installing structures and sanitary stainless steel and carbon steel pipework in an existing production environment, working with tight schedules and limited time windows to intervene. At the same time, the work had to meet strict hygiene requirements, and all new and modified piping systems had to tie in seamlessly with existing installations, without compromising process reliability.
The renovation, upgrade and conversion projects were completed within the agreed framework, with minimal impact on ongoing production.
The new and modified sanitary stainless steel and carbon steel piping, the associated structures and the supplied components and product-safe valves were designed, installed, tested and commissioned according to scope. As a result, the plant’s installations have been further optimised and the production environment is now better aligned with the targets for efficiency and process reliability, while the factory was able to remain largely operational during the work.
