A leading European producer of customer-specific vegetable oils, with an annual output of over 450,000 tonnes, launched several renovation and conversion projects to future-proof the plant and further optimise processes. Leemberg Pijpleidingen & Apparatenbouw BV was brought in as partner for both detail engineering and the supply, prefabrication and installation of equipment, pumps and several hundred metres of stainless steel and carbon steel pipework.
The producer was running multiple renovation and conversion projects in the same factory at the same time, all aimed at boosting efficiency and process reliability. For Leemberg, this meant delivering several scopes in parallel, from equipment and pump layouts to combined stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems with tracing, all within an existing and operational plant.
Because Leemberg also handled the piping detail engineering, it was crucial that design, material selection and execution aligned seamlessly and could be integrated into the running production process without disruption.
Leemberg Pijpleidingen & Apparatenbouw BV handled the detail engineering, supply and installation of equipment, pumps and hundreds of metres of stainless steel and carbon steel piping as one integrated package. The new and modified piping systems – including tracing and supporting structures – were prefabricated, installed and commissioned in close cooperation with the client.
By combining engineering and execution in a single partner, design and realisation matched tightly, and the renovation and conversion projects directly contributed to a more efficient and better-optimised production and processing operation.
